LOS ANGELES, Calif. — One of the nation's most accomplished quarterbacks in the Class of 2027 has made his college decision.
Carson High School standout quarterback Chris Fields III announced his commitment to Georgetown University, choosing the prestigious academic institution after a remarkable campaign that established him as one of California's premier playmakers.
The 6-foot-1 signal caller brings a rare combination of athleticism, leadership, football intelligence, and academic excellence to the Georgetown program. Fields carries an impressive 4.0 GPA, demonstrating the same commitment to success in the classroom that he has displayed on the football field.
His commitment comes on the heels of a historic season at Carson High School. Fields was recently named the City Section Offensive Player of the Year after leading Carson to the coveted Open Division Championship, one of the most competitive titles in California high school football.
During his championship season, Fields showcased his dual-threat ability by accounting for more than 3,000 total yards of offense. Through the air, he completed passes for 2,031 yards and 29 touchdowns, while adding another 958 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. His ability to extend plays, make accurate throws under pressure, and create explosive opportunities with his legs made him one of the most difficult quarterbacks to defend in the state.
Long before his latest accolades, Fields demonstrated his talent on a national stage at the SPE Elite National Camp in Houston, Texas. Competing against some of the top quarterbacks from across the country, Fields earned SPE Camp Quarterback MVP honors in January, further solidifying his reputation as one of the nation's rising stars.
Those who have watched Fields develop over the years point to his poise, work ethic, and leadership qualities as traits that separate him from many of his peers. Whether commanding the offense, making adjustments at the line of scrimmage, or leading his teammates during critical moments, Fields consistently performs beyond his years.
For Georgetown University, the commitment represents a significant addition to its future recruiting class. The Hoyas are gaining a quarterback who not only possesses elite athletic ability but also embodies the academic standards and character traits the university values.
As Fields continues his high school career, expectations will be high. With one season remaining at Carson High School, college football fans can expect to hear his name mentioned among the top quarterback prospects in the country.
Today, however, is about celebrating a major milestone.
From winning championships and MVP honors to excelling academically and earning the respect of coaches nationwide, Chris Fields III has built an impressive foundation. His commitment to Georgetown University is the latest chapter in a journey that appears to be just getting started.
GotMixTV congratulates Chris Fields III and his family on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to following his continued success on and off the field.
