Long Beach, CA – Prairie View A&M football just secured a major addition to its future offense. Quarterback Mack Cooper of Long Beach Wilson High School in California has officially committed to the Panthers his season stats from last year are as follows. He was All CIF QB 2, 716 yards passing 23TDS 101.9 QBR.

Cooper, a dynamic playmaker with a strong arm and excellent field vision, first caught the attention of the Prairie View coaching staff earlier this year. In January, he made an unofficial visit to the campus, where he connected with the program and began to envision himself in purple and gold.

That same month, Cooper showcased his skills at the SPE Elite National Camp in Houston, Texas. Against some of the nation’s top prospects, he impressed coaches and scouts with his poise in the pocket, quick release, and ability to read defenses. His performance at the camp solidified his status as one of the most promising quarterbacks in his class.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity and for everyone who has supported me along the way,” Cooper said. “Prairie View A&M feels like the right place for me to grow as a player and a person.”

With his commitment, Prairie View A&M gains a leader who thrives under pressure and has the tools to make an immediate impact at the next level. As Cooper prepares for his final season at Wilson High, Panther fans can look forward to seeing the California talent bring his West Coast swagger to the SWAC.
